Summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago is looking to hire an application developer within our information security group.

Job Duties
The Sr LAMP Developer will build and maintain new and existing web technologies and other system projects to specification and work closely with management and supervisors to contribute design insights, define requirements, prepare specifications and code the project through to completion.

Provides technical expertise to implement and deliver various web and other system projects.

Gathers and analyzes requirements, leads the design and development of the projects.

Organizes and participates in review sessions and contribute to design insights for the projects.

Develops good quality projects in a challenging timeframe and assist other members of the team.

Participates in system testing to ensure quality deliverables.

Design and implement high volume front-end applications using PHP and MySQL

Creating simple user interfaces to perform complex and customized server-side transactions.








Experience: Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and building browser-based data-driven applications in a corporate environment.

Development experience within a LAMP Stack

Minimum 3-5 years experience building highly utilized, secure, and user friendly browser-based applications

Expert level knowledge of PHP which includes a solid understanding of best practices relating to PHP development

Experience with various frameworks (symfony, cakePHP) and libraries (PEAR)

Experience with templating (Smarty, Savant, or other) and MVC application design

Experience working with Apache web server (configuration and security)and Linux

Fluent in information architecture. Demonstrated capability in physical and logical database design and development and protocols.

Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to teach your technical skills to other members of the Information Technology Development group.

Experience designing and building databases based on relational database theory. Subsubstantial experience with MySQL is required

Information security certification, CISSP certification, SANS GCIA and/or GIAC is a plus
