The Systems Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and administration of the client's systems. The Systems Specialist must understand and conceptualize applications from both a technical/programming perspective and a business point of view. The Systems Specialist needs a broad understanding of, and experience working with, hardware and software systems, including their installation, maintenance and life cycles. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to deal with both technical staff and business managers, as well as participate on project teams.

Typical duties of the Systems Specialist will include analyzing business application requirements for functional areas such as finance, operations, and human resources, translating user and/or systems requirements into functional technical specifications, and installing, testing and debugging application specifications. The Systems Specialist will also analyze and resolve end user problems with applications and be responsible for the administration of application access controls and execution of restricted application functions.

Experience: This Systems Analyst position requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems plus 4+ years of applications development experience.
Candidates must possess three plus years experience in Visual Basic (VB) and/or Java programming in a Windows Server environment and two plus years experience with Microsoft SQL database programming. Candidates must possess strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and Crystal Reports development experience.

Experience with the Yardi Voyager/Enterprise property management system, experience in real estate property management, and experience with e-forms, document management, and work flow systems are preferred. Familiarity with XML and familiarity with Business Process Management methodologies are also preferred.
