Overview:
The Data Management Project Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and direction of Data Acquisition and Delivery project effort(s) including overall budgeting, planning, controlling and management status reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project goals, objectives and scope
- Set day-to-day project operations and direction
- Develop and maintain overall work plan
- Develop and maintain project budget
- Manage all aspects of the project effort and coordinate issue resolution
- Coordinate project effort with team members (internal and external), applications and business units
- Report overall project status to management
- Determine appropriate resources to fill project positions
- Perform an overall risk analysis for the project
Qualifications:
- 4 year college degree or equivalency required
- Project Management Institutes Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
- Project Management training, certificate or degree
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- 5+ years experience in estimating, staffing, managing, controlling, administering, budgeting and executing project efforts
- 2 years experience in Financial Services (preferred / brokerage knowledge desired)
- Experience in Data Warehousing (preferred)
- A substantial track record of successfully delivering projects on-time and within budget that provide the agreed upon scope to meet the business goals
- Significant experience in project management skills, methods and techniques (planning, scheduling, project control procedures, etc.)
- Significant experience in issue and risk management
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- Ability to effectively interact with business unit management
- Significant experience with SDLCs and structured approaches to project management
- Solid experience with MS Project
