Our Chicago-based Client currently seeks a SQL Server DBA for a 6 month+ project engagement.Database Administrator (DBA) for MS SQL Server databases --Assess database requirements for target version, disk space and directory setup, security, and interfaces --Create databases, instances, and database objects following Exelon specifications and processes.--Populate new databases using standard tools such as export/import or backup & restore as appropriate.--Establish backups, maintenance, monitoring, and other daily administration tasks for databases. --Establish security and connectivity to the new databases for all inbound and outbound interfaces, e.g. ETL tools, developer tools, application servers, database links, etc.--Provide support for the application migration, testing, and database tuning; including interfacing with the application team for problem diagnosis and resolution.--Capture and document test results, installation plans, and problem resolutions for the development database migration in order to define specifications for the production database migration.--ORACLE DBA exoerience a major plus!!
