Genesis10 currently has several .net openings in Chicago for a large financial client of ours.
You will be responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas.
- Will include hands-on new development as well as support, maintenance or enhancement of existing applications.
- Work closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes.
- Research and evaluate alternative solutions and makes recommendations.
Experience: Required skills include:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience or specialized training) in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science (CS), Software Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years relevant software development work experience
- 2+ years of experience with object oriented analysis and design practices (object modeling, use cases, activity diagrams, UML)
- 3+ years of experience using C# and .NET framework
Experience in at least two of the following:
- .NET remoting
- Message queuing architecture (MQ, MSMQ)
- Web Service development and XML
- MS SQL Server/Transact SQL
- Stored procedure coding
- MS Report writing
- Data Modeling - relational database design, normalization, tuning
- High-volume eCommerce infrastructures
3+ years of experience using version control system, e.g. Microsoft Visual Source Safe (VSS)
2+ years of experience using a structured software development methodology in a large corporate or consulting environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter, and within a team environment.
-Banking and/or financial services industry experience is a plus, but not required.
- Experience using VB, or VB.NET is a plus, but not required.
