Our client, a top Chicago Law Firm, seeks a VB/VBA/VB.NET Developer for a Full time opportunity at their downtown Chicago location. You will be responsible for creating/enhancing Visual Basic and VB.NET applications, as well as creating custom one-off utilities to assist users in performing special ad-hoc functions. Main focus will be on the Partner Accounting System within the Financial Systems Development team. You will interface directly with end-users and application Administrator in performing day-to-day troubleshooting, gathering requirements, and facilitating reporting needs through the use of custom written programs and scripts.Requires: * At least one year development experience using Visual Basic 6.0/VB.Net, ADO, XML, HTML, SQL, Informix, and WSH. * Previous experience migrating from VB 6.0 to VB.NET environments a plus * Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent work experience * Well developed analytical and problem solving skills and excellent communication skills.
