A high speed, highly successful derivatives trading firm is launching a new high frequency algorithmic stock trading business and we are looking for a few key players to make it great. Specifically interested in a strong hands-on network architect to build the network infrastructure from the ground up.

Job responsibilities


- specify and build out network hardware and network architecture for extremely high volume low latency trading system



- work with exchanges to figure out hosting and connectivity issues



- purchase server and storage hardware


- all aspects of hardware and software installation and management



- remotely maintain servers co-located at exchanges


- sysadmin responsibilities for remote servers


- constantly monitor systems for latency and any other potential issues which could impact performance




Job requirements


- very strong unix skills (linux required, solaris a bonus) [5+ years]


- very strong system tuning skills [5+ years]


- very strong working knowledge of network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls...) [5+ years]
