SUMMARY:The Cognos Java SDK Developer will be responsible for the design and implementation of a Web application development framework that provides a customized set of capabilities, extending the default functionality available in Cognos 8.3. This person will also develop custom Web applications, using this framework, improving product development cycle time, quality and consistency.QUALIFICATIONS: Strong Cognos 8.3 SDK (object model) and the development of customer facing Web applications experience. Solid understanding of Cognos Connection.Strong experience with J2EE development.Knowledge of Web Services development.Experience with JUnit, JSP, JSF, Struts 2, Spring, and Hibernate.Experience with the Rational Unified Process and associated SDLC technologies (ClearCase, ClearQuest, ReqPro, Rose and SODA).AIX Operating System and DB2/UDB V9, as well as Rational Application Developer IDE experience are all a plus.Strong analytic, problem solving, and collaborative skills.Limited travel may be required.
