POSITION DESCRIPTION: Architect, build, maintain, and support flexible, scalable, robust systems UNIX infrastructure Provide third party and internal trading system application support for UNIX systems Interact closely with developers and traders to improve UNIX architecture and operations Work with other IT engineers to research and implement new technologies Create and maintain system documentation QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent professional experience 8 years exp with Linux/UNIX (Solaris 10) Experience with monitoring and tuning system and network performances Skilled with Sun x86 and x64 hardware Experience in network file systems and storage including SAN, NAS, and NFS Hands-on experience with automating server builds, Jumpstat, Kickstart, configuration management, patching, and software deployment Advanced Scripting skills Background in networking architecture and troubleshooting Capable of managing multiple projects and integrating new project requirements effectively Willingness to work off hours and early morning hours when required and pager rotation  PREFERRED: Experience with Sun Cluster, mail systems, and major trading exchanges, as well as relational database administration (Sybase, MySQL) Understanding of financial markets and trading systems To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
