Prestigious Global Trading Firm, located in the Chicago Loop, is currently seeling a Lead UNIX Engineer. Candidate will lead a team of 3 Senior Linux/Sun Engineers over a global high-frequency, low-latency trading environment.Responsibilities:Lead a team of 3-5 UNIX EngineersPerform Linux/Solaris architecture, administration, automated installation, and performance tuning Participate in NAS NFS storage administration and tuning Provide third party and internal trading system support for Unix platforms Interact closely with developers and traders to improve Unix architecture and operations Architect and implement fault tolerant systems Lead other IT engineers to research and implement new technologies Create and maintain system documentation Experience and SkillsTeam Lead and/or Managenent experience.5 - 10 years Linux/Solaris installation and administration Experience with system and network performance tuning High availability system setup and architecture exposure SAN/NAS exposure Background in networking architecture and troubleshooting Ability to manage multiple projects and integrate new project requirements effectively Ability to work off hours and early morning hours when required Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience in supporting trading systems, third party and internally developed is desired Exposure to relational databases is desired Exposure to major trading exchanges is desired To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
