SAP Business Analyst IV in Chicago, IL
DESCRIPTION The primary role of the SAP Business Analyst will be to design and implement BPS Planning Grids to support Trade Promotion Management related business requirements. This will require preparation of workshop materials, documenting workshop notes, and identifying application requirements. This position will be responsible for tracing back master data dimensions/characteristics from SAP BW back to the source fields within ECC and documenting this result. The consultant will configure applications and write supporting functional enhancement design documents to meet identified requirements and work with technical developers and BI team to ensure supporting reports, interfaces, conversions, forms and workflow are effectively built, tested and implemented. The Analyst will identify, document and conduct all unit testing, mock and system testing of mission critical scenarios, manage expected results versus actual results, and track and resolve errors. Additionally, the consultant will support the generation of procedural documentation regarding the business processes being implemented. This documentation will then be leveraged to create end user training manuals by functional area. Focus areas may include: SAP Trade Promotion Management, Trade Funds Management, Trade Claims Management and Field Planning/Forecast Integration. The consultant will support all Program Management Office requirements related to work activities (documentation and reporting) and provide post-implementation production support. In this position, the SAP Business Analyst will: Quickly analyze complex problems to find actionable, pragmatic solutions Take the initiative to find ways to get better results Exhibit a "can do" attitude and a willingness to take on significant challenges Effectively self-manage multiple work assignments Adapt/flex to rapidly changing priorities Treat all people with respect and fairness and collaborate well with others to deliver results Communicate persuasively (verbal, written) to win support and demonstrate effective listening skills Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required 6 - 8 years of work experience in SAP systems implementation or support CPG industry experience preferred SAP BPS experience in Trade Promotion Management preferred Required Technical Skills: MM, SAP, SD, BW, and ECC SAP BW Back-end Development (Function-Agnostic) experience with BW Extractors, Data Store Objects, Infosets, Infocubes, Multi-Providers, Query Designer (v7.0 preferable) SAP ECC Back-end Table Navigation Skills (Function-Agnostic) including the ability to navigate Back End ECC tables and trace ECC fields to the ECC transactions/screens that populate them ECC knowledge of SD and MM master data Local candidates only please.
