Duration: 6 months Location: Chicago, IL/ Zip Code: 60601 Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000/ Annually Role: Architect Role Description: The Architect would need to have at least 7+ years of experience. It is a project to develop framework components for a portal and so this candidate needs to be a portal expert with strong development skills. The Architect should have experience in building out the infrastructure to WebLogic Portals. Responsibilities: - Combine multiple technologies to provide solutions that would enable end-to-end architecture solutions. - Performs analysis of domain models, hardware specifications, and/or user requirements to design infrastructure solutions. - Understands various types of J2EE5 tools and technologies on the market and their appropriate usage. - Responsibilities extend to all components of an architecture and infrastructure environment including Networks, Load Balancers, Web Servers, Application Servers, and Databases Tiers. - Lead an end-to-end architecture build out effort to completion. - Interact with and manage product Vendors/Suppliers. - Perform as a Technical Leader and lead the technical delivery of infrastructure components. - Combine multiple technologies to provide alternative physical solutions. - Performs analysis of business models, logical specifications, and/or user requirements to design solutions. - Responsible for the application development as well as the application environment. - Responsibilities extend to all components of an application and application environment including front, back, and middle tiers where applicable. - Lead a tool evaluation effort, including the definition of the evaluation criteria, identification of tools to be evaluated, and the actual evaluation. - Work may involve interacting with and managing product vendors/suppliers. - Perform as a Team Leader when required. Required Skills: - Should have experience in infrastructure system build out. - Should be experienced in designing, developing, and testing end-to-end infrastructure. - Should have experience of working on various hardware platforms. - Expertise is required in WLST scripting, Linux, Ant, Struts, J2EE, Apache, WebLogic 10, JDBC, Load Balancing, and Clustering. - Must have experience in multiple system environments. - Should have experience in designing, developing, and test applications. - Expertise in developing portal infrastructure components is desired. - Must have work experience on various platforms including Mainframes, Minis, and Micros. - Must understand various types of tools and technologies on the market and their appropriate usage. Required Technical Skills: - 80% of WebLogic Architecture and 20% of J2EE!!! - BEA Portal 10 expert. - Java and J2EE experience (Spring, Struts, JSP Custom Tags, and Servlets). - WSRP experience.
