Resource 1 is in need of a Senior Jave Developer for a 6 month contract located in Chicago, IL. Will play a hands-on role as a senior-level developersupporting over the counter derivative trade capture and clearing systems. Analyze and design integration of custom built Object Oriented components in the context of adding rich functionality while enhancing existing systems with an eye on performance, reliability and scalability. Interact with business sponsors and end users to identify requirements and recommend design alternatives. Interact with QA team on functional design, test plans, defect and change control. * Good communication skills * Linux - practical experience building/running systems on Linux platform including basic shell/perl Scripting * Java coding skills - core Java (j2se), Collections, Multithreading and Socket IO * Web development (JSP,JavaScript)* Programming experience interacting with message oriented Middleware - preferably MQ* Familiar with patterns * Experience in FIX, FIXML, FpML message protocols a major plus.* Experience with DTCC file formats.* Proficient in writing/maintaining ant, maven scripts* Proficient in RDMS (ie Oracle)* Hands-on experience with back-office solutions processing credit default swaps a must.
