System Engineer required by a leading consulting firm to work on an 18 month extend-able contract in Chicago. Candidates must be eligible to work in the USA and must have strong knowledge of R.F. systems, such as transmitters, receivers, and antenna networks ensuring that systems are configured, optimized, and tested to design specifications. The role will be too:Provide documentation of system configuration, optimization, and testing. Perform Antenna System Analysis. Perform site Safety Audits (R56) Perform T1 Link Verifications.Support subscriber equipment deployment.The candidate must have experience in the following:Use of equipment commonly used in the optimization and testing of Public Safety Two-Way radio systems (Communications Systems Analyzers, watt meters, TIMS sets, CPS, RSS, Antenna Systems Analyzers (FDRs), T1 test sets, etc.) Computer use including common applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel Experience in the configuration and testing of Public Safety two-way radio subscriber products Good understanding of Public Safety two-way Radio trunking and SmartZone systems.Configuration and testing of channel banks, routers, hubs, and switches.
