The Systems Analyst works as a member of an IT team implementing applications and configuring vendor application products. This person analyzes problems, in terms of systems and programming requirements. Primary Responsibilities: Participate in the design, build and validate hospital software as assigned Maintain system documentation Track issues and problems Perform system testing; aid in the development of test plans Apply project planning and project management methodologies Take on-call for system application support at scheduled times Facilitate development of policies and procedures Aid in the development of training materials Provide user support during implementations Handle multiple assignments simultaneously Required Skills: Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to grasp and translate technical terminology into understandable terms for users, including clinicians/physicians 5 years of application system development experience preferred. Experience in installing, configuring and managing servers. Experience in managing Ethernet and TCP/IP topologies. Experience working in a hospital or other health care organization is desirable MedSeries 4 and RPG a plus. Education: degree in computer science, information systems a plus
