To understand their products and test their applications effectively, the incumbent must have previous experience with a financial trading firm or a large banking institution. Prior programming and/or development experience is critical, as this is a more hands on technical role. To reiterate, financial trading background, financial markets in commodities and or futures, or experience with front office trading systems will be given first consideration. Must have the ability to bring in strong business knowledge to the team. This QA Developer will assist in the development and execution of unit tests, regression tests, performance testing, and load testing. This role will work closely with the developers, end users, and testers to generate requirements documents and provide actionable feedback. Scripting experience such as VB, Python (Iron Python), Ruby or Perl with SQL 2000/20005 experience is also a big plus. Responsibilities include writing test scripts, generating functional specifications for complex trading applications, work with automation engineers to automate the manual test specifications. Excellent knowledge of documentation and knowledge management skills, good knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows environment will be a plus.
