Quality & Compliance Manager in Chicago, IL
BASIC PURPOSE: Responsible for developing, coordinating, communicating, training, and maintaining consistent and reusable IT process standards for quality and regulatory assurance across IT solutions processes. These include computer operations of hardware and software, software application development, software configuration management, and change management. Provide leadership and guidance for, and maintain, implement, audit, and remediate, Sarbanes Oxley compliance initiatives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Design quality program to ensure that information technology processes, products and services meet targeted standards. Implement standards, methods, metrics and procedures for testing and evaluating the quality of products and services based on technical and end-user requirements. Monitor and provide direction for compliance of quality standards to ensure quality goals are achieved; make recommendations for improvements, and work with appropriate resources to correct problems. Design and implement risk mitigation measures, and respond to risk events. Integrate Sarbanes Oxley considerations with IT development processes. Collect Sarbanes Oxley monthly and quarterly control documentation; test IT internal controls for compliance and perform quality assessment, identify failures, and work with appropriate resources to correct problems. Work with IT internal auditors to design and implement Sarbanes Oxley remediation measures, to include additional testing of the effectiveness of these measures. Review test plans and test cases and validate they meet the business and technical requirements KEY COMPETENCIES: Process Management: Effectively develops processes and organizes people to get things done quickly and well. Peer Relationships: Works effectively with peers. JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge/Experience: Relevant Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. Minimum of 6 year's technical systems experience. Experience defining, creating, executing and documenting test plans and test cases 5+ years experience in quality assurance and/or quality control, preferably in a technology environment. Mastery in application of techniques and use of testing tools. Solid knowledge or experience in all areas of the product development life cycle. Project management experience. Familiarity with risk management concepts Knowledge and experience with Sarbanes Oxley compliance standards and procedures as they relate to IT internal controls. Possess superior administrative and leadership capabilities. Ability to work effectively with senior management.
