Our Financial Services client currently seeks a SOFTWARE ENGINEER for a DIRECT-HIRE opportunity.

This individual will be part of a service technology group. Excellent verbal skills important as you will work directly with traders and other developers to build real time trading systems.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


· Participate in all phases of the software development process for computerized trading applications/models, which includes requirements analysis, specification generation, application design, and software coding.

· Participate in coding front end GUI and backend server side development.

· Perform quantitative analysis.

· Stay informed of advances in technology.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

· Have an interest in trading and financial markets

· Strong communication skills

· Computer programming skills using C++ or C#

· Strong working knowledge of MFC or .NET applications

· Strong working knowledge of MS Visual Studio

· Analytical and problem solving skills

· Multi-threaded programming experience a plus

· Knowledge of operating systems and networks

· Proven history of being successful within a team-oriented environment

· Confident team player motivated by a fast paced environment.


EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

· 3-5 years of experience programming in C++ or C#

· Real time software development experience dealing with trading or financial markets desired (NOT REQUIRED)


COMPENSATION: $90,000 to $105,000 base salary + BONUS (10-15%) + FULL BENEFITS...depending on experience and education
