Overview:

Our client is looking for a Content Specialist to assist with a Knowledge Management initiative. This entry level position will be responsible for assisting with the execution and enforcement of knowledge management principles. This position will also assist in the implementation and maintenance of information technology solutions to meet knowledge management needs.



Responsibilities:

- Assist in creation and maintenance of content on corporate intranet

- Edit/proof content being posted on intranet as necessary

- Interface with business units to understand their intranet and knowledge management needs

- Assist with roll-out, implementation and adoption of knowledge management and collaboration systems

- Solicis and document user feedback for improved content structure

- Explore opportunities to improve content layout, site design and look-and-feel

- Enforce and make recommendations on content structure & information architecture

- Provide informal or classroom instruction to users as required. May also provide hands-on end user support as necessary

- Work with internal groups to raise awareness and increase visibility of the initiative



Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in English, journalism, marketing or a related field

- 6 to 12 month experience in field of marketing, communication or journalism

- Aptitude for understanding and working with IT programs an absolute must

- Excellent planning, analytical and organizational skills a must

- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise tact and discretion in a professional environment

- Excellent writing, editing, and proofing skills. Clarity in verbal and written communication a must

- Be able to exercise cross-cultural sensitivity and interface appropriately in multi-cultural environments

- Familiarity with HTML, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and other web publishing technologies a plus

- Strong attention to detail

- Strong knowledge of MS Office
