POSITION SUMMARY

The Storage Administrator maintains, supports, and engineers solutions for the enterprise data center and four other data centers through the firm. The position is based in Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Maintain a mix of NAS / ISCSI / Fiber SAN environments.
-Perform day-to-day monitoring of all SAN environments.
-Oversee implementation of new storage components.
-Communicate frequently to field engineers on status of storage systems.
-Engineer new solutions including capacity planning.
-Keep all documentation current for all SAN systems.
-Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality in matters that require discretion.
-Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis to grow and develop in position and career.
-Perform other job-related duties as necessary.
Experience: QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field a plus.
-Must have at least 4+ years experience as a storage administrator.
-Must have experience with StorageTek / Sun storage environments ( preferably STK 6140 and 6540 ), Cisco SAN switches, FalconStor products, and Santricity.
-Experience with primarily Windows Servers and SUN.
-Experience with EMC Clariion, Navisphere and Brocade a plus.
-Self-starter, with an entrepreneurial spirit capable of successfully achieving support and project objectives with little supervision.
-Highly reliable and well organized.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Excellent customer service skills and a committed team player.
-Reports directly to Enterprise Data Center Manager.
-Ability to work additional hours as needed or in disaster recovery situations.
