Monitor and maintain computer systems to ensure that they are operational in order to meet the various information processing requirements of the Client's departments; designs computer system requirements for the solution of moderately difficult business problems or for segments of more complex problems, and formulates procedures for their solutions, may assist departmental users in the development of necessary data reports to aid their job performance. The Administrator is responsible for the continuing design, development and testing of reports for Client's various applications.



In addition to report development and associated responsibilities, the individual will provide support and backup to Client's various system applications, e.g. Yardi, Lawson, FileNet, etc. The candidate will work efficiently with ITS management team to handle multiple project assignments, will schedule, balance the workload with project managers, and resolve assigned issues.



It is critical that this individual has strong verbal and writing communication skills with an ability to effectively convey information to audiences of varying technical aptitude and organizational levels.



Summary of Accountabilities

Examples of responsibilities of this position may include:

1. Analyze, code, test, document and implement complex application programs within a timely manner.

2. Develops time schedules, conversion, and test procedures for all aspects of system, from manual handling through computer processing.

3. Helps estimate resource needs for analysts, programmers, user personnel, consultants, equipment, etc.

4. Analyzes charts and/or diagrams of the problem to be programmed and defines system requirements in terms of equipment capabilities.

5. Meet with various representatives from business users to define and document report requirements and specifications.

6. Developing the report prototypes to be reviewed for approval by the business users.

7. Developing and testing reports in appropriate Yardi environments.

8. Tuning SQL to improve reporting performance as needed.

9. Providing Yardi application administration support, including developing and modifying security roles, etc.

10. Developing test scripts for and participating in application updates and upgrades.

11. Perform analysis of projects with users and independently work on individual technical problems.

12. Transform complex program specifications into code.

13. Develop test plans for programming assignments.

14. Provides technical guidance and training to junior level programmers to ensure development of knowledge and skills.

15. Performs programming activities as required.





Job Specifications

. BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology or 4+ years of related experience.

. 1+ years of IBM FileNet P8 experience, including Content Management, BPM development and system administration.

. Experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle, J2EE programming (Java, JSP), XML & HTML programming

. 2-3 years Crystal Reports development experience.

. 5 + years SQL development experience with Oracle 8/9 environment.

. Proficient in PL/SQL, current Enterprise Document Management System (EDMS), Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) [Lawson], and Asset Management [Yardi] applications.

. Excellent Analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills

. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

. Ability to effectively work with people in other departments and/or outside of the enterprise.

. Understand project management and control.

. Familiar with state-of-the-art technology
