Our Financial Services client currently seeks a Developer for DIRECT-HIRE. Job Title: DeveloperJob description: Reporting to the Manager of Back Office Technology, the Back Office Developer will participate in developing and maintaining the firm's back office clearing system, an automated process that integrates information from multiple clearing firms and prime brokerages to report consolidated risk and financial data, along with a related set of operations and maintenance tools. The Back Office Developer will assist in researching and responding to ad-hoc requests from business users and developers as necessary.Core Responsibilities - Participate in:- Development and support of the firm's mission-critical nightly clearing process- Development and maintenance of a set of start-of-day and end-of-day external and internal reporting tools- Development and maintenance of a set of position, trade and financial reconciliation tools- Investigating and resolving occasional inquiries from operations and financial staffDesired Candidate Attributes:- Must be well a proven T-SQL developer and comfortable with complex stored procedure development and analysis- Must be knowledgeable in application development, preferably in Visual Basic or C#- Must be able to good communicator- Must have a commitment to delivering high-quality data and business processesExperience, Technical Knowledge, and Educational Requirements:- 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft SQL Server developmento Mastery of SQL Server 2000 is requiredo Experience with SQL Server 2005 is a plus- 2+ years of client application development experience, preferably in Visual Basic or C# is a plus- Experience in the option trading industry is a plus- A bachelor's degree
