Responsible for the development, implementation, and operation of all areas of IT including accountability for day to day operation of the US network infrastructure, servers, WAN’s and LAN’s; Work with IT Director in co-coordinating Company-wide IT strategy and implementation; Working with IT Security Manager in the UK to ensure the security of IT infrastructure and systems; Develop special projects and initiatives appropriate to the mission of the Company, and to participate in relevant partnership projects both internally and externally, taking the role of project manager where appropriate; Work with the VP F&A and IT Director for the hardware, software, and telecoms' budgets pertaining to network and systems. Experience: Bachelors degree required, concentration in Information Services preferred; At least 5 years experience in support of IT services preferably within a large global organization; Proven leadership experience with managing and developing a team is a big plus; Previous experience in SAP and working with Apple/MAC is a plus; Experience in supporting a large remote user base; Effective interpersonal skills essential to maintaining good working relationships and empathy with both technical and non-technical staff, including the ability to communicate well with a wide variety of users, of very differing levels of IT skills; Appreciation and understanding of emerging technical issues such as QoS; wireless technologies; VoIP; enterprise directories; authentication; SANs; clusters.
