Our client, a growing cosmetics and skin care company is seeking a talented Product Development Manager with a scientific background and a strategic vision for growing the company's bottom line via new and existing beauty products and concepts. This position would identify new opportunities, work with R&D to develop the product from ingredients through to the packaging, act as the project manager during the development timeline and ensure regulatory requirements are met on all fronts. This person will not have direct reports.

This role will participate in setting strategies and implementing products to meet global demands, keep up with bath & body market trends and generate measurable results for the company. Serve as the internal project team leader to strategically manage and drive product development, with health and beauty industry background preferred. Ultimately responsible for the successful growth of product development, the ideal candidate will look for opportunities to organically grow the existing business and stay attuned to the market needs for the firm.
Experience: Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of product development management experience in the beauty industry, from concept and brand strategy through to design implementation and production. A Bachelor's in Marketing, Biology or related is required. Demonstrated ability to craft and effectively communicate strategy and product briefs - disciplined, focused, organized and passionate with a knack for new product ideas. Excellent writing and presentation skills necessary, coupled with the ability to communicate technical issues to laymen and industry pros alike, and grow the business.
