Prestigious professional services firm located in Chicago's Loop is currently seeking a Network Engineer who has experience working in a financial or trading firm. The Senior Network Engineer will serve as a primary resource for the firm's most complex networking and technical issues. You will learn our firm's methodology for delivering outstanding technology service, and will support our firm by refining that methodology to continually improve our technical project and support work. You will continue to develop their technical skills, along with business knowledge and consulting skills. Duties and Responsibilities The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Network Engineer will include: Solving technical client issues, often under time constraints Assisting project leadership in completing project tasks and applying technology to client business issues, such as: specialized security review, network design and implementation, new trading firm build-out, and best practice reviewsServing as a key resource for other consultants in solving complex technical issues Mentoring junior consultants and guiding the internal technical training program Researching new technology and analysing risks and benefits of applying that technology within our clients' mission-critical environments Serving as a lead architect for enterprise-level designs for our institutional networking clients Qualifications Successful candidates will have the ability to thrive in an intense industry that relies on the latest advances in technology.
