JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of a Network Support Team Manager, uses available network management support tools to provide network statistics to Support Team Managers. Utilizes Cisco Network Equipment and the Cisco Technical Assistance Center to open and close support calls.Administers DHCP servers and is responsible for VLAN scopes and static IP log.Works with other Network Support Team members across the Bureau and the County WAN group in problem resolution.Attends and participates in weekly Network Support Team meetings and provides monthly usage reports.Schedules and coordinates any network downtime with Bureau’s Help Desk and broadcasts appropriate messages to the users preparing them for the downtime. Performs other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: · Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate of Art’s degree, preferably in Computer Science OR an equivalent number of credit hours is required. · Two (2) years work experience using Cisco Network Equipment and utilizing Cisco’s Technical Assistance Center is required. · Cisco Certified Network Analyst Certification and Project Management Certification are preferred. · Technical, college and/or other training or instruction pursuant to acquiring the knowledge and skills indicate herein are highly desirable and may be preferred. · Must be able to work on call. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS: Working knowledge of Cisco network equipment and familiarity with Cisco’s Technical Assistance Center (TAC) to open and close support calls.Working knowledge of Cisco Works, Intrusion Detection and Network Policy Manager and software packages.Strongwritten and verbal communications skills and the ability to work with all levels of hospital personnelAbility to work in a team environment and mentor other members in the group providing knowledge transfer.Ability to multi-task, work with minimal supervision and work in a fast-paced stressful environment.Ability to work on call.
