DESCRIPTION The Software Developer will design, develop, and implement software packages. The Consultant will troubleshoot, debug and implement software code. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 7-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area. The candidate must have knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field (ie, SQL, JAVA , MF, XML, DB2, IBM MQ Series, CSS, CGI , WebSphere Application Server, Unix, z/OS, Oracle, CICS and JavaScript). He/she will rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Must perform a variety of tasks. Candidate will work under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude required. This project is to implement a Web application interfacing with PassPort to create and update Condition Reports (CR) into PassPort Action Requests, along with supporting reports. Three developers are needed to support the project as follows: 1. Web Developer Position= The Consultant will design and develop a Web page ?toolbox? to serve as the entry point for the application according to the defined user requirements. The candidate will design and develop a Java application on WebSphere 6.1 for z/OS to create condition reports and send the data to PassPort via MQ Series according to the defined user requirements. Connect to PassPort to query Action Requests/Condition Reports using DB2 Connect. Will work directly with business subject matter experts in developing and confirming the design. The candidate will support user testing, make code production-ready, pre-deployment activities and documentation, create operations guid, and regularly report progress to Project Lead during scheduled status meetings and via status reports. Minimum requirements for the Web Developer: 3-5 years experience,Java programming, XML, JSP, HTML, JavaScript, Servlets, CSS, MQ Series,DB2, WebSphere Application Server,Unix, z/OS, Eclipse, Ventyx PassPort 10.0.5/Asset Suite 5.0.5, Oracle, Log4j, Attachmate 2. Interface/Mainframe Developer Position= The Consultant will design and develop an interface to receive XML messages from MQ Series, parse records, and create and update Action Request/CRs and associated records in the PassPort Mainframe application according to the defined user requirements. The candidate will be responsible for compiling and deploying the interface to the development environment. He/she will also work with the PassPort Technical Architecture team to coordinate any necessary table modifications, creation of CICS transactions, batch jobs, etc. Will work directly with business subject matter experts in developing and confirming the design. The candidate will support user testing, make code production-ready, pre-deployment activities and documentation, create operations guide, regularly report progress to Project Lead during scheduled status meetings and via status reports. May assist with other areas of the project (such as Web reports) as time permits. Minimum Requirements for the Interface/Mainframe Developer: 3-5 years experience, Cobol, CICS, JCL, XML, MQ Series, DB2, z/OS, Omegamon, Ventyx PassPort 10.0.5/Asset Suite 5.0.5, Attachmate, HTML, Java programming, JSP, Servlets, JavaScript 3. Hyperion Reports Developer Position= The Consultant will design and develop several Hyperion reports running against an Oracle replicated database according to the defined user requirements. User may also develop additional Web reports. Will work with the PassPort Technical Architecture team and Oracle DBAs to coordinate any necessary table modifications, create views, administrative account creation, etc. The candidate will work directly with business subject matter experts in developing and confirming the design. He/she will support user testing, make code production-ready, pre-deployment activities and documentation operations guide, regularly report progress to Project Lead during scheduled status meetings and via status reports. Ideally the candidate will also have Mainframe experience to be able to verify the source data against that of the replicated Oracle data.
