Position DetailsOur client is seeking a proven a senior-level Project Manager with Medicaid systems experience who will help manage the entire life cycle of outsourcing and implementing a new system. This will entail RFP development, vendor selection, and implementation. The client will be creating a RFP to replace the existing MMIS with new systems and technology. The current MMIS is outsourced as will the new solution. An Independent Verification & Validation Contractor (IV&V) is in place to create the RFP. This position will be responsible for working with the client to verify and validate the scope of the desired MMIS and interact with the IV&V to insure RFP content and purpose match the client's vision. The Project Manager will assist in evaluating potential solutions, vendor selection, and oversee implementation.Roles and Responsibilities* Act as intermediary between Independent RFP Verification & Validation (IV&V) contractor and DMS project managers* Act as intermediary between the new MMIS Design, Development, and Implementation (DDI) contractor and Division of Medical Services (DMS) project managers* Help the client monitor work plan activities and deliverables of IV&V and DDI contractors* Independently verify and interpret activities and recommendations of IV&V and DDI contractors* Evaluate level of work required to oversee the two contractors and their work products and recommend additional staffing levels* Overseeing user testing during DDI phase* Oversee data transfer and transition between current MMIS and replacement MMIS *Coordinate Health Information Exchange (HIE) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) activities with the State Medical Health IT Plan Program Manager (SMHP) and DMS project managers* Designing RFPBEST INDUSTRY – Government/HealthcareBEST DEPARTMENT – Project Management Experience: Bachelors Degree is required.20 years of formal project management experience is required.
