SHORT SCOOP: 5+ years experience: C++, .NET framework (UNIX/Linux & MS Windows platforms). Our client requires a C++ Developer who will be involved in the design and implementation of trading and analytical tools and has experience with them. Electronic trading and trading concepts experience is a must. Experience with full life cycle development required. RESPONSIBILITIES: With the team, manager and architects the developer will design, develop and test components. This is an end to end development process following the established principles and guidelines: including working closely with traders, team staff and management. Experience with time estimation, prioritizing and ability to multitask along with presenting timely progress reports. Best practices and quality standards are implemented at our client. And finally: Experience with developing comprehensive test plans, create user documentation and provide useful training to end users in a clear and timely manner EXPERIENCE and TALENTS: 5+ years experience: C++, .NET framework (UNIX/Linux & MS Windows platforms). Extensive market data experience - messaging APIs is a definite plus. Object-Oriented principals and methodologies. Exposure to cross platform libraries (ie STL, ACE, BOOST). System Programming experience required such as Multithreading and socket level programming. Solid understanding of database technologies using databases such as MS-SQL or Oracle is a plus.Capital markets industry experience. Educational/Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related fieldKnowledge of trading is strongly desired.
