SMARTSOURCE is currently seeking a Messaging Systems Engineer

Job Type: 3-6 month Contract/ Possible contract to hire
Location: Darien, IL
Normal business hours

Description of Job Duties
Provides direction for the server architecture for enterprise messaging solutions
Design, installation, documentation and administration of sever applications and hardware
Serves as primary technical troubleshooter on complex server hardware and application issues
Works as primary liaison with 3rd party disaster recovery solution providers for messaging recovery
Supports central and remote server performance and availability
Maintains server security architecture and access control
Maintains documentation of enterprise server topology and system configurations
Performs server maintenance duties (e.g. system log, backup schedules, user accounts, etc.).
Supports end users as required to provide a positive customer experience including after hour coverage
Coordinates testing, rollout, and application of ongoing software patches/upgrades for servers and desktop systems

Required Skills and Experience:
Exchange 2003/2007 Migration experience

Advanced knowledge ofdata architectures, and Active Directory.
