Modis is currently seeking a Network Security Design Engineer for an exciting contract opportunity with our client in the Chicago area. The position is expected to start immediately and last for an initial duration of 8 Months with the high likelihood of long-term extension. JOB DESCRIPTION The Senior Network Security Engineer will be participating in the redesign of an enterprise network security infrastructure. Primary responsibilities will include gathering client requirements and creating high-level technical design documents/diagrams to meet the specifications. Candidates MUST have a solid foundation in Cisco IP Networking with a minimum of 5-7 years recent experience in ISP-grade Security Services, including Firewalls, IDS/IPS and Threat Management solutions. CISSP and Cisco Certifications up to a CCSP/CCIE Security are highly preferred. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum Bachelors Degree with 7+ years experience in a related IT Industry - Cisco Certifications (CCNP, CCSP or CCIE Security) - CISSP Certification is highly preferred REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS - Cisco PIX/ASA Firewalls, Juniper NetScreen Firewalls, Nokia CheckPoint Firewalls, Virtualized security solutions - Intrusion Detection/Intrusion Prevention (IDS, IPS) - Bluecoat Proxy Server, Syslog Servers, Firewall Logging - MPLS/VPN, Site to Site VPN tunnels, Cisco VPN Concentrators - Multicast, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP - Cisco 6500 Catalyst Switches, Cisco 7200 up to Cisco GSR (12000 Series) Routers - Fully Redundant/High Availability/Highly Resilient Network experience with Managed Services Experience - Authoring and coding UNIX Shell and/or Perl installation and automation scripts HOW TO APPLY *Please note that candidates must be eligible to work for any employer in the US without the requirement of visa sponsorship.*Please no third party inquiries or agency submissions* Qualified individuals are invited to apply for immediate consideration!
