Director Disaster Recovery in Chicago, IL

Minimum education required: BA or BS degree in a technical area required
Minimum work experience required: 7-10 years experience in IT, with significant disaster recovery experience
Special skills required: Negotiation skills with business and technical staff; Strong management, business planning, and development
Description of duties & responsibilities: Develop disaster recovery strategies and supporting plans that are consistent with business continuity objectives
Coordinate disaster recovery planning efforts at local and regional levels
Provide adequate information to executives to ensure fast, efficient impact analysis, including disaster recovery plan overview, IT crisis management procedures for critical IT and business locations
Facilitate disaster recovery training related to planning, plan maintenance and execution to appropriate parties
Implement a continuous measurement process and provide management reports based on predefined metrics
Monitor plans managed by 3rd parties
Define and maintain a testing schedule
Facilitate tests, ensure results are documented and compliant with standards and follow-up on noted deficiencies
Develop and maintain disaster recovery site on Aon's Intranet Site
