Genesis10 currently has a need for a Techncial Analyst and a Functional Analyst to work on a Time and Labor project in downtown Chicago, IL. A time and labor software system has recently been purchased and implemented. The source code has also been purchased. The system needs to be tweaked as they would like to add enhancements and improvements as well as increase the current data reporting functionality.

Though local candidates are preferred, the client is more than willing to pay for individuals to travel into Chicago for the duration of the project if they are not local. Two interviews will be conducted over the phone to determine if there is a fit. Job responsibilities are listed below for each position.

Functional Analyst - Job Responsibilities:
Now that the Time and Labor system has been installed adn the source code purchased, they are looking to tweak the system and develop custom enhancements and improvements. A big part of this tweak would be to improve reporting functionality for the system. They need to bring in a functional analyst who can interview business users and managers and gather requirements. The functional analyst then would be responsible for working within the T&L system as a data analyst to data mine information and generate customized/repeatable reports from the system.


Technical Analyst - Job Responsibilities:
Now that the Time and Labor system has been installed adn the source code purchased, they are looking to tweak the system and develop custom enhancements and improvements. The technical analyst will be responsible for tweaking the system, writing queries, writing specifications for the offshore development team, etc. Experience: Functional Analyst - Candidate Requirements:
* Very strong experience with Time and Labor applications (REQUIRED) (Note that the specific type of T&L application (Peoplesoft, Kognos, ADP eTime, Worbrain, etc.) is not important. Rather one just needs to have worked on multiple T&L projects.)
* Extensive experience as a functional analyst.
* Extensive experience gathering requirements, interviewing users, translating requirements to the technical community, etc. (REQUIRED)
* Specific experience with on reporting or data analyst projects (NICE TO HAVE)
* Client will pay for travel to Chicago, but the candidate must be willing to work 4-5 days per week in Chicago or be local to Chicago. (REQUIRED)
* Available within 2 weeks (REQUIRED)

Functional Analyst - Candidate Requirements:
* Very strong experience with Time and Labor applications (REQUIRED) (Note that the specific type of T&L application (Peoplesoft, Kognos, ADP eTime, Worbrain, etc.) is not important. Rather one just needs to have worked on multiple T&L projects.)
* Extensive experience as a technical analyst.
* Technically proficient in order to provide tweaks to the system, develop/write queries, etc. (REQUIRED)
* Client will pay for travel to Chicago, but the candidate must be willing to work 4-5 days per week in Chicago or be local to Chicago. (REQUIRED)
* Available within 2 weeks (REQUIRED)

NOTE: The technical analyst does not need to be an architect or lead-level individual, rather just a solid technical analyst. In addition, the individual does not need to be a proficient coder as development will be sent offsite.
