6+ years DBA experience
Infrastructure (vs application) DBA
Experience with Oracle 9i,
Exposure to Oracle 10g a plus
Experience with Sybase 11.9.2 or above a plus
Experience in a project-oriented environment
Excellent communication skills
DataGuard and/or other replication technologies.
Experience with BMC Patrol, RMAN, DBArtisan, SQL Backtrack for Oracle and Sybase
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to address Oracle Very Large Database (VLDB) issues
Knowledge of Real Application Clustering (RAC) is a plus
Performance analysis and tuning
Knowledge of UNIX OS, shell scripting is a plus
Ability to work in a team atmosphere
Works effectively with a minimum of direction
Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Willingness and ability to handle firecall duties
