Minimum education required: Bachelors of Science degree minimum required.
Minimum work experience required: Two (2) years minimum work experience in the database field.
Special skills required: Business Analyst with good problem solving and data analysis skills with a strong understanding of structured data. Must be able to create and optimize SQL statements for use in production software. Must be familiar with database administration (DBMS) in the Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (or higher) environments. The following are also helpful: (a) any experience with financial or economic data handling, (2) experience with the .NET programming environment, (3) ability with scientific or high performance programming or numerical analysis.
Excellent verbal and communication skills are a must.
Description of duties & responsibilities: Continual development and operational support of MS SQL Server based in-house data processing tool, which analyzes outside client data in various formats and translates into internal data standard for processing. Maintain suite of in-house scientific and engineering data tables used for processing and analysis support. Activities also include general DBMS administration and operational activities to support engineering and crop research staff.
