Our client, an innovative wireless solutions provider is looking to expand

their wireless data products in the global wireless market.



POSITION SUMMARY

The Application Consultant will provide high-value consulting and project

management services to our largest and strategic customer base. You will

have involvement in the professional services sales cycle and other

professional services activities across North America including responding

to proposals, client calls, identification of future opportunities, practice

management, technical writing and other related tasks. You will also be

speaking at and attending major strategic conferences for the company. The

role requires equal parts technical aptitude and business acumen with a

consultative approach to find creative solutions to real customer problems.

Ideal candidates will be familiar with all stages of the solution

implementation lifecycle.

Candidates must also possess strong technical leadership capabilities

coupled with real world project management experience.

- 7+ years experience as a technology consultant

- 5+ years experience with at least two of the following RDBMS: Oracle,

DB/2, SQL Server

- 5+ years experience in multi-tier application development using one or

both of the .Net framework or J2EE

- 5+ years of OOP and OOD experience

- 3+ years experience in JSP/Servlets or ASP



ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will also meet the following requirements:

·Very strong communication skills (Oral, Verbal and Written)

·Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to handle large audiences

are a must

·Applicable industry certifications (Java Certified Developer, Oracle DBA,

etc.) an asset but experience given definite priority

·Ability to lead ad hoc teams of very bright and highly motivated

individuals

·Ability to scope and size work efforts effectively

·Strong organization and time management skills

·Proven customer management skills
