Advanced - COBOL/DB2
Intermediate - VB/SQL Server/Access

Candidate would be responsible for installing a copy of Client's London Fees system locally (in Chicago), then becoming familiar with the application(s) for the purpose of providing support on London Fees development effort (VB/SQL Server/Access), while simultaneously performing a gap analysis between the London Fees system and the Chicago fees system for the purpose of installing the Chicago Fees system in London and converting London clients onto the Chicago system (COBOL/DB2).

The London system is VB/Access/SQL Server
The Chicago system is Java/COBOL/DB2

Ideal candidate should have excellent experience in COBOL/DB2, intermediate experience in VB/Access/SQL Server

Although the candidate need not have experience with Java, this would be a bonus

In addition to providing development support to the London technology team, the candidate will also be responsib le for performing and documenting the gap analysis, contributing to a large extent to the technical design document, coding, and testing for the London Fees replacement project.

Responsibilities include designing, developing and implementing software solutions, leading complex projects of major significance, reviewing and recommending products from multiple vendors as necessary, developing technical specifications and acting as a technical lead in the software development process.

Individuals will also provide guidance to and review the work of other team members as well as investigating ways to potentially improve processes existing today and implement improvements.
