Very prominent company located in downtown Chicago is actively searching for 2 Linux Application Engineers. The preferred candidate will have come from a trading or financial background and must have strong experience with Linux infrastructure and applications that ride on the servers. We are searching for motivated, polished, degreed candidates with the desire to succeed. Must be willing to travel internationally for 1 month for training. Any Sun, Oracle, Fedora Core 3 is a big plus. Excellent communication skills are a must Experience: Must be degreed. 5 years minimum experience in Unix/Linux System Administration. Ability to work in a fast paced, hands-on environment. Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP. Perl and Shell scripting experience. Familiarity with DNS/LDAP and SNMP. Systems monitoring.
