Basic Function Reporting to the Manager of the technology group, this individual will interface directly with various business groups and with the Information Technology Group (ITG) within Corporation. Responsibilities will include recruiting, staff management, staff development, facilitation, status reporting, analysis, design, programming, support and participation in the development of technological solutions for the Corporation. This position requires strong communication skills, solid analytical skills and outstanding leadership skills. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience or education in the health care industry, seven or more years of technical and project experience, practice in formal development and project management methodologies, and a desire to succeed in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Experience: Position Requirements 1) Four years of work experience with a Bachelor Degree OR Five years of work experience with a Technical Certificate or college courses OR Six years of work experience. 2) Team player with good organization skills and attention to detail 3) Staff management background / interviewing, selection, performance appraisals, training programs 4) Excellent verbal & written communication skills 5) Strong team building and coaching skills 6) Outstanding demonstrated leadership experience 7) Solid analytical and problem-solving skills 8) Extensive technical work experience with: application architecture, design patterns, JAVA / HTML development, relational database management systems such as DB/2, leading or mentoring programmers and analysts formalized methods for software development, complex development projects Preferred Position Requirements 1) Health industry or insurance exposure or knowledge 2) Technical work experience with: multi-platform high performance applications (i.e. RS/6000, mainframe environments), commercial business rules engines such as ILOG, PowerBuilder, COBOL / CICS / JCL 3) Experience developing PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Visio, and MS Excel documents for Management 4) Practical work experience in large, multi-site organizations To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
