Help Desk Administrator in Chicago, IL
We are currently seeking to fill a Help Desk Administrator position for our client in Chicago, IL. Overview: Our client has an excellent opportunity for a Help Desk Administrator at their Chicago loop office. This person will be responsible for providing first and second level technical support. This requires discretion and independent judgment in order to accomplish business and IT departmental objectives. This position will answer direct help desk phone calls. Responsibilities: I. Provide first and second level technical support and troubleshooting to Windows workstations on a mixed Novell NetWare and Windows network. 2. Maintain documentation of support calls and escalate those calls to higher level support or vendors directly, if necessary. 3. Install computer hardware and software 4. Responsible for maintenance and support of bank workstations and applications. 5. Use independent judgment and discretion with respect to duties and organization's use of Information Technology. Minimum Qualifications: 1. 1-3 years of related experience 2. Some software experience on Windows workstations, Novell networks and management tools 3. Strong problem-solving ability 4. Well organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task 5. Exceptional telephone etiquette 6. Enjoy working in a constantly changing environment with varying tasks 7. BS/BA degree required 8.
