Senior-level Quality Assurance (QA) analyst needed to lead the testing of RJO's proprietary futures trading systems (includes web-based and forms-based futures trading applications, back-end order routing/management systems, FIX/exchange APIs, and risk management systems). Will be expected to apply previous experience with QA best practices and trading industry knowledge to define and implement improved QA methodology, tools, and processes. Will be an integral part of a dynamic, growth-oriented, 24 x 7 real-time software development environment. Opportunity to move into a QA Manager role as the team grows. QA Skills/Responsibilities o 5+ years Quality Assurance experience required o Formal QA training desired, certifications are a plus o Understand and analyze business requirements for testability and completeness o Decompose requirements into test conditions, cases, and scripts o Create QA project plans (with task estimates/schedules) for test planning and execution o Optimize testing for an aggressive schedule without violating the integrity of a test o Execute test plan using a combination of manual testing techniques and automated testing tools to ensure that requirements have been met o Precisely and thoroughly document defects found and work with developers to resolve them o Ensure that all phases of testing have been fully carried out o Sign off on a software product's release to production Leadership Skills/Responsibilities o Define and implement improved QA methodology, tools, and processes o Gather and report testing and quality metrics to IT and business management o Communicate with project managers on testing status, issues, and risks o Lead daily testing activities and review work of other testers o Work closely with clients to create and execute UAT test plans o Train new QA team members Technical Skills/Responsibilities o Knowledge of the SDLC o Experience working with complex multi-tier systems - trading systems experience a plus o Strong understanding of databases, able to create reusable test data sets and write SQL queries to examine application testing results Trading Industry Experience o 2+ years financial services industry experience required - trading industry experience a plus General Skills/Responsibilities o Professional demeanor, strong communication skills, responsive customer service attitude, and a commitment to working in a team environment are essential o Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities o College degree in Business or Computer Science or equivalent experience Relocation expenses will not be covered.
