ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:

The purpose of the .NET Development Analyst position is to provide technical support in the design, development, and deployment of information systems. The person in this position must demonstrate the ability to solve technical problems, lead small efforts in delivering complex solutions, and adhere to our client's IT practices. This person will interact with the development manager, project manager, analysts, developers, and clients in order to accomplish assignments. This person is expected to be highly motivated, creative, and demonstrate the ability to manage his/her own work toward a generally-defined business or technical goal.

Specific Team Role Description:

The .NET Development Analyst role will focus upon building, enhancing, testing and supporting .NET applications. This position will be part of the Application Delivery Developer Team, reporting to the Development Manager. This position involves deep interaction with the portal server infrastructure, networking, security, web content, and strategic discussions. A basic knowledge of service-oriented approaches and technologies, including operating system principles, practical networking approaches, security concepts, and capacity planning is essential. Specific activities include:

QUALIFICATIONS:

. 2+ years experience in VB.NET and C#.NET development
. 5+ years experience designing and developing web interfaces and applications.
. Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and Cascading Style Sheets.
. Basic understanding of web application architecture (web servers, protocols, security, etc.)
. Candidates should have experience with or be able to quickly learn Microsoft development tools and technologies (ASP, ASP.NET, SQL Server, Visual Studio .NET)
. Understanding of Object-Oriented concepts and programming
. Working knowledge of relational database technologies (tables, queries, stored procedures)
. Ability to think in terms of the entire application architecture (beyond isolated GUI and DB development)
. Experience building web applications preferred
