Our Chicago-area Financial client currently seeks a QA Engineer for a
"FULL-TIME/DIRECT-HIRE" position we currently have
available with a Chicago-loop based Client. In addition to strong employee benefits there is an annual 20% bonus.

Job Description:

As a member of the Quality Assurance department, you will participate in the development of a growing team of quality assurance engineers dedicated to ensuring the superiority of the client's Systems. You will work closely with the support and client services teams as well as with the software and database development groups to understand and ensure appropriate product functionality. A large portion of time will be spent designing and executing automated test scripts for proprietary applications.

Core Responsibilities:

" Implementing a suite of automated regression test scripts to ensure maximum coverage
" Working and consulting with QA Manager to promote and improve the quality of the software products
" Testing development releases and reporting and resolving test results
" Assist in troubleshooting production problems as they arise
" Assist in maintenance of development testing environment


Skills Required:

" 5+ years of software testing and Quality Assurance, financial experience preferred
" 2+ years professional automation testing experience (Compuware Test Partner is a plus)
" An in depth knowledge of QA processes and automated testing techniques
" Must be able to demonstrate a successful track record in implementing and running an automated test environment (experience in financial software testing will be an advantage)
" Must be able to work as part of a motivated Quality Assurance team
" Must be a team player and good communicator
" Knowledge of VB, .NET, C++, Perl, SQL and various relational Databases is a plus
" Experience with UNIX/Linux/Solaris Operating Systems as a plus
