We are seeking a financial engineer/programmer who will help make important strategic decisions and coordinate all technical aspects of the configuration and support of electronic trading that will impact the competitive position of our well established and growing proprietary trading firm based in Chicago. The available opportunity calls for an experienced candidate, who can effectively leverage technology, implement and manage all IT projects, and provide strategic planning in a fast-paced and dynamic industry.
Experience: Candidate must have a Bachelors Degree in computer science or computer engineering (GPA at least 3.0) Excellent communication skills/personality is a must. Having financial/trading industry experience is a plus. Some experience with C++ and Java programming languages. Must demonstrate excellent team skills and have serious interest in the trading/financial industry. Solaris, Linux, and Windows proficiency or a combination of the three. This person must be well organized and detail oriented.
