My client is Headquartered in Fremont, CA, but seeks a high level Field Services Engineer to join their team here in Chicago on a full- time basis. This person will work from a home office, and be deployed to various clients throughout an established region. The ability to travel and work with minimal supervision are obviously required. The Field Services Engineer will assist customers through on- site support and consulting services with the optimizing of the company's products. Major duties include: the installation and configuration of hardware and software products, optimization including upgrades, performance monitoring and system audits, as well as customer support including troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Experience: Candidates MUST HAVE a Bachelors Degree (Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences, or related), as well as 5+ years of high level Field Service experience. Technical expertise in Windows (NT, Win2K, 2K3), UNIX (Linux), Networking, Storage, etc. are also required.
