Exciting opportunity! Software Development position for a high-tech company in downtown Chicago. This person will develop and maintain the web-based software platform. Must have the ability to take requirements from the business team or other sources and design and implement a technical solution. He/she should be able to take several assignments at the same time and manage development activities according to priorities and schedules. Must report progress and issues regularly to managers and business team.
Experience: A four year bachelor's degree is required. 2-3 years of experience in Perl and 3-5 years experience developing large scale e-commerce applications. The candidate must also have experience with Oracle, Unix, and SQL. Experience in Shareware with PHP, C, C#, and .Net is a plus.

Strong problem solving skills are a must. He or she must show they can lead technically by example and have the proven ability to deliver results in complex and large-scale development projects. It is very important to have the ability to work with different teams of people to clarify or gather requirements.
