SENIOR SYSTEMS SOFTWARE ENGINEER - (Oracle Retail Background)

Must be versed in Oracle Retail (RETEK) modules, WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus, WebSphere MQ, and DataMirror.

Analyze root cause and implement correction to data related defects
Define and implement backup/restore processes and schedules.
Perform data refresh, as needed, to support application development and testing
Participate in the review, testing and deployment of the Oracle Retail application throughout the application's lifecycle.
Document processes and procedures

Position Requirements:
Responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting and correcting problems related to the middleware and data components of application software. Participates in information protection and business continuity planning for hardware, software, and applications. This position requires 24x7x365 day availability in the daily support and operation of mission critical computer systems, applications, and/or networks.

Position Attributes:
Typically an intermediate level position with 3 or more years experience across multiple hardware systems, specifically UNIX/AIX, in a corporate environment.

Required Skills:
Working knowledge of the following: WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus, WebSphere MQ, DataMirror, Oracle Retail RIB, RMS, RPM, RS/6000, AIX, Oracle Data Base System

Strong analytical skills
Proficiency with database query tools
Strong people skills, working in a team environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to work independently to accomplish tasks
