WE ARE UNABLE TO SPONSER OR TRANSFER H1B-VISA'S Our Chicago area Client currently seeks an Infrastructure Architect for their Infrastructure Application group. *** BIG "4" or Major integrator experience a MUST HAVE!! *** **Resumes not matching this non-negotiable requirement will not be considered** As a Platform Infrastructure Application Architect for the Infrastructure Application group, you will provide infrastructure architecture solutions that support our Clients business products.You will be responsible for the Application architecture of the global technology and infrastructure services organization. You will define the architectures that provide for the linkage between applications systems and supporting infrastructure. You will work closely with the global application development teams and application developers in key member firms to develop a synchronized application architectural planning and implementation process. Proven experience in planning, architecture and design of standard technology application platforms a MUST. Experience in managing large programs in an international environment and the ability to collaborate with senior management, business teams and IT teams. Provide technology assistance and guidance to global application development teams during new development and enhancement efforts. Assist with requirements definition, design and implementation approach as it relates to technology infrastructure and the applications utilization. Exploration of alternative solutions and appropriate strategies should be recommended considering cost, ease of implementation, support and development as well as integration with existing and future technology infrastructure. Define global application architecture standards, application tool tandards as well as application enabling standards in collaboration with application development team. Responsible for the overall technical application interface architecture working with the global application development teams. Define the target architecture utilizing best practices from existing as well as external best practices. Primary architecture and enabling technologies include: application enablers (SQL, Biz-talk, Sharepoint, etc.) design tools (Rational Rose) and test tools and methodologies. Develop and maintain a global technology roadmap for application standards and application technologies. Skills and abilities:-- Provide comprehensive decision making authority over technical issues related to the design and consult with project teams during all phases of the project lifecycle. -- Communicate project deliverables, development policies, procedures, and standards. -- Determine technical approach at the strategic and tactical level and assure all technical decisions using the most effective methods and tools. -- Influence emerging architectures within the organization with the capability to establish and promote technology and architectural strategy. -- Proven experience in integrated approach to large applications and technology platforms design, architecture and implementation. -- Strong knowledge in application development life cycle, including requirements definition, system design and testing / QA and transition to production. -- Sound understanding of Microsoft enterprise applications development using standard applications and platforms. Technology Management, Standards Creation Travel requirements:Up to 30% travel required Education requirements: 4 year degree in information technology, computer science MBA degree, or PHD degree in technical or business management helpful.
