WE ARE UNABLE TO SPONSER OR TRANSFER H1B-VISA'S Our Chicago area Client currently seeks an Infrastructure Architect for their Infrastructure Application group. *** BIG "4" or Major integrator experience a MUST HAVE!! *** **Resumes not matching this non-negotiable requirement will not be considered** As an Infrastructure Architect for the Infrastructure Application group, you will provide infrastructure architecture solutions that support our Clients business products. . Working with Business Solutions group, will determine infrastructure technology to be utilized including configuration to support the business/technology architectures . Design conceptual and detail design architecture to support HA systems, performance monitoring . Assist in the development of a framework for non functional specifications including instrument applications for monitoring and common infrastructure components Ability to understand processing and capacity requirements and establishing an architectural approach for each initiative to meet SLA expectations, to include: Growth indentification, capacity and processing needs for the future and architecting the application with those anticipated requirements Responsible for implementing standards and best practices which includes application, infrastructure, data and security requirements Leverage defined check lists and provide best practices to the teams Determine up front specifications application teams would require Assist in the building of business plans, strategic directions, standards, processes, and procedures which includes participating early in the process with the application teamsResponsible for server, storage and overall infrastructure size and build specifications, load balancing and clustering, hardware sizing, capacity requirements. To also include core infrastructure services of certificates, SSO, authorization, LDAP, DNS, WINS Education requirements: 4 year degree in information technology, computer science MBA degree, or PHD degree in technical or business management helpful. Abilities and Skill requirements:. 7+ years of relevant experience required . Proven experience deploying global application infrastructure solutions including design and implementation. Use of infrastructure tools and products such as Exchange, AD, Server OS, SMS, MOM and others. Ability to work with multinational operations staff . Experience in large scale global technology deployments as well as global communication and tracking . Experienced interfacing with large vendors globally helpful . Experience in data privacy and confidentiality regulations . Knowledge of emerging technology solutions and industry trends . Proven skills in general architecture and deployment methodologies . Sound experience with networking technologies, i.e., switches, routers,firewalls, proxy servers, etc. . Knowledge of Web development technologies, esp. ASP.Net . Skilled in general infrastructure including global system sizing and configurations, load balancing, clustering, performance, and certificates. Privacy and confidentiality security experience Additional skills:-- Advanced analytical/problem solving ability and critical thinking skills -- Creative, independent thinking skills -- Excellent verbal and written communication including presentation skills -- Ability to communicate at all levels -- Culturally and organizationally astute -- Capable of managing multiple goals and deadlines -- Skills of influencing, negotiation, diplomacy Travel requirements: Up to 30% travel required Helpful experience: .
