Type of Employment: Perm Essential Skills: AS400/ACBS Technical, DB2, System integration/Regression testing methodologies and QA Job Description Our client is seeking an AS400/ACBS Technical Consultant perm position. The client has offices in Cincinnati, Ohio and Chicago, IL and is fine with a candidate working from either of these locations (candidate can select). The right candidate will have at least 6+ years of IT experience, with 3+ years experience in Systems Analysis/Architecture/Development/Support/AS400 & Testing Methodologies. Candidate also needs an in-depth knowledge in AS400 based, Mainframe systems maintenance and support. Duties include: Develop thorough understanding of commercial lending platform architecture primarily ACBS Manage, maintain, upgrade AS400 based, Mainframe systems Understand, design database structure in DB2 Create design document, coding in web technologies, HTML, XML, Javascript etc Use PL/SQL, MS-Access for queries Coordinate with infrastructure team to ensure that development, QA, and production environments are prepared for conversion activities Understand underlying ACBS data structure and file and field interdependencies; deploy suitable ETL tools/techniques when necessary. Track technical issues/log. Perform system integration, regression testing Required Skills/Experience: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) with 6+ years IT experience. 3+ years experience in Systems Analysis/Architecture In-depth knowledge in AS400 based, Mainframe systems maintenance and support Knowledge in DB2 Knowledge in HTML, XML, Javascript and other web technologies Knowledge in middleware, messaging protocols Strong SQL and/or MS access expertise Knowledge in ETL tools Experience in system integration/regression testing methodologies and QA Effective written and verbal communication skills. Candidates must be able to work onsite in Cincinnati, Ohio or Chicago, IL. Client prefers local candidates, but is open to out-of-state candidates who can relocate on their own.
